If you want to use an in-person proctor for your final exam, you should follow the steps in this article.
If you would rather use the online proctoring service ProctorU, see Instructions for using ProctorU.
This in-person proctoring option is most suitable for students who do not wish to use ProctorU or who already have access to a proctor.
This article contains instructions for students, instructions for proctors, and contact information.
Students who want to use this option should read all sections of this page.
Who can be a proctor?
Proctors must be impartial parties who have no established relationship with a student taking an examination. Established relationships that disqualify a person from serving as your proctor include friends, relatives, employers, work associates, supervisors, or fellow students.
People who can serve as proctors include certified librarians, military education services officers, embassy representatives, and school officials (such as principals, deans, or guidance counselors).
Proctors must have a valid email address and web access, and must be willing to verify their identity with Saylor Academy.
What are the fees?
Saylor Academy does not charge any fees for in-person proctoring. The student is responsible for any fees that a proctor might charge for providing the service.
