Some activities, assignments, or assessments are completed within our learning platform and will often be automatically graded or else self-graded. These grades do not count toward the 70% score needed to earn a course completion certificate -- that score is purely connected to the final exam.
Our staff does not review or grade assignments -- with our self-paced and free model, we do not have an active faculty or teaching assistants available. However, you are invited to share your work with other students in our discussion forums and seek feedback from peers.
You can choose to complete activities and assignments exactly as they are assigned or to explore different ways of practicing and extending your learning. Consider what will be most valuable to you in achieving your particular goals and do not be afraid to "go beyond the course" or to simplify the workload if necessary.
For instance, if you are learning HTML/CSS or Java programming, you may find it useful to create additional webpages or programs beyond what the course activities specifically suggest. If you are taking a math course, you might seek out additional skills practice from the Web. If you are taking a business course, you might choose to connect your activities to your present employment to be most relevant to your work.
Feel free to share original "assignments" like these in the forums as well to seek feedback or promote discussion.
