Good to know
- The most common issue for a student unable to log in is that they created their account using the Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft button but are trying to use a password to access their account. If you created your account using one of our third-party authentication options, your account does not have a password associated with it. Be sure to log in using the same third-party option, rather than using a username and password.
- If you created an account but did not confirm your email address within seven days, your account will have been deleted. Create a new account and look for a confirmation email in your email inbox or spam folder.
Regain access to your account if you can’t log in
Using the Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft buttons
- If you created your account using one of the third-party authentication buttons, your account does not use a password. You should be sure to log in using the same button that you used to sign up. Just click the appropriate button and follow any prompts to log in each time.
- If you are certain that you use a password with your Saylor Academy account, you can still use one of the third-party options to sign in to your account, as long as the email address associated with both accounts is the same.
Resetting your password
- You can only reset a password if you originally created your account using a username, email address, and password. This method will not work if you used your Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft accounts to sign up.
- See the article Change your password for help with resetting your password.
